Uriah Hall vs Sean Strickland

  • Preview

Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland are starting off as the main event of UFC Fight Night: Hall vs Strickland. Uriah Hall is coming off of a win against Chris Weidman who suffered an unfortunate leg break on a checked kick. Before that unfortunate win, Hall put was the winner of 3 straight with the last one coming against Anderson Silva and his last loss coming against Paulo Costa. Similar to Uriah Hall, Sean Strickland is also on a 4 fight win streak with his last win coming against Krzysztof Jotko, and with his last loss coming off of Elizeu Zaleski.

Sean Strickland will be the one putting on the pressure as Uriah Hall will defer preferring to fight off his back foot. Uriah Hall has fought the better competition and pressure fighters such as Paulo Costa. While Uriah Hall lost to Paulo Costa he will find an easier time fighting Strickland as he doesn't possess the power of Costa. Uriah Hall should also find it easier to connect with clean shots against Strickland as he tends to leave his chin up. Strickland leaving his chin exposed makes it hard to back him as Uriah Hall possesses insane power, finishing 8 of his 10 UFC victories. This fight being 5 rounds bolds well for Uriah Hall as he should be the fresher fighter in the championship rounds as he's been here before. If the fight goes the distance Sean Strickland will probably win the first 3 rounds as Hall can be inconsistent but Strickland may not even be able to handle the power of Uriah Hall so I'll take +300.
