The Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) face off against the Los Angeles Chargers (1-0) in this week 2 matchup. On offense the Chiefs will face a tough challenge against the Chargers defense. Still the Chiefs have one of the most loaded offenses in the league with Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, and Travis Kelce. The rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire also looked promising in his first game posting 138 yards and one touchdown on 25 carries.
On defense, the Chiefs are able to limit the pass effectively and force teams to rely on the run game and passes to running backs out of the backfield, though I believe the Chargers have enough to still get some yards through the air.
On offense, the Chargers will focus on utilizing wide recievers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Hunter Henry will also be a point of focus at tight end. One thing to consider was that the Chargers struggled against a defense like the Bengals, and this will be a tougher game for them for sure.
On defense, the Chargers will do their best to limit big passing plays down field, but the Chiefs will find a way to score no matter what the Chargers throw at them.
I like the Chiefs to cover the spread here. The Chargers have been struggling on offense and I think the Chiefs will find ways to score even with the strength of the Chargers defense.
