The National Championship is finally here with the Ohio State Buckeyes taking on Alabama. The National Championship is being held in Hard Rock Stadium in Florida. Ohio State is coming into this game undefeated at 7-0 after defeating Clemson in the College Playoff's Sugar Bowl 49-28. Alabama also went undefeated this season going 12-0 with their most recent victory coming in the College Playoffs against Notre Dame 14-31 in the Rose Bowl.
Justin Fields played phenomenally in the Sugar Bowl and showed toughness by finishing the game after taking a massive blow that affected his throwing. Justin FIelds tossed 6 TDs against a tough Clemson defense so he shouldn't be deterred by Alabama's defense. Justin Fields' performance was a good sign and has erased the concerns I had after a few shakey games.
Alabama dogged Notre Dame in a game that was never close. Mac Jones tossed 4 TDs in that game with 36 TD passes on the year in total with just 4 INTs which was made easier with the help of Heisman winner Devonta Smith the first WR in 30 years. Smith was a touchdown machine with 20 and 1641 receiving yards.
Both of these teams strong run defenses so we're likely gonna see a lot of throwing in this one. With that being said Devonte Smith is in for a big night with this turning into a potential shoot-out. This game should be close throughout with two great quarterbacks under center going back and forth. These are two of the best offenses in the nation unquestionably so I'm leaning to the Over in this one.
