The Toronto Raptors are taking on the Portland Trail Blazers. Toronto has yet to find their footing as they are 2-7 so far into the season. The Portland Trail Blazers are 5-4 after a bit of a bumpy start with an inconsistent defense.
Toronto has struggled despite their talent and again suffered another loss this time at the hands of Golden State. Toronto prior to Golden State was able to get the win against the Sacramento Kings after scoring 144 after Fred VanFleet dropped 34 points. VanFleet's been the best offensive player so far this season as he leads the Raptors for 22.3 points per game.
The Trail Blazers have been electric in their wins with dominant performances but the losses have been pretty bad too. Portland had a great defensive effort against Sacramento where they allowed just 26.7% from beyond the arc. Portland's duo is capable of dishing out a ton of damage with Dame and McCollum averaging 54.3 combined points. C.J. McCollum is having a career year with 27.9 points with 44.4% from beyond the arc which are career highs.
These defenses have struggled but the offense I trust more is Portland's as this game is gonna be decided by the better offense. This game has the makings of a high scoring contest with the lackluster defenses present in this one. Dame and McCollum run all over Tronto in this one.
