The Indiana Pacers are taking on the Brooklyn Nets at 8:00 PM eastern time. The Indiana Pacers are going through a tough stretch losing their last three games with their most recent being a 103-95 loss to the Jazz to send them to .500. The Pacers have been awful going 1-5 in their last six games. It hasn't been much better with the Brooklyn Nets as they've also lost their last three games and they have gone 1-4 in their last five games which included a loss to the Washington Wizards while their most recent loss was an 11 point loss to Detroit.
The Indiana Pacers' two best players Domantas Sabonis and Malcolm Brogdan are not playing up to their ability with Sabonis being inconsistent and Brogdan not playing well in any of their last three. It certainly doesn't help when your consistently getting beat on the offensive glass (especially against the Jazz who had double the offensive rebounds) and rebounding in general. The Pacers had a lackluster offense against the Jazz only converting at 39.8% from the floor.
The Brooklyn Nets have struggled without Kevin Durant due to their poor defense. The Brooklyn Nets defense has given up 120+ points in their last seven games and also have given up 120 points in 11 of their last 12 games. Irving is dealing with a finger injury but will play.
The Brooklyn Nets defense has struggled to stop anyone giving up 122 points to the Detroit Pistons who boast one of the worst offenses in the NBA. With the Nets defense playing as horrendous as they are, this will present the Indiana Pacers' offense a way to rebound and get back into the groove. Neither of these teams are playing good basketball right now so it wouldn't be surprising if either team had a meltdown but I'll put my faith in the Pacers defense while their offense should find easy looks.
