The Houston Rockets are taking on the New York Knicks at 8:00 pm eastern time. The Houston Rockets are on a four-game losing streak with their most recent coming against the Miami Heat. The New York Knicks are coming off a win against the Wizards as well as sustaining a 2 point loss to the Heat prior to that.
The Rockets have been struggling with their recent injuries as they've sustained some big losses, with their biggest being Christian Wood who is the future for this team. Without Christian Wood on the court, the Rockets have taken a step back on both offense and defense. With Wall's, Tucker's, and Oladipo's status still in the air it's hard to envision the Rockets bringing a competent offense should some of them miss.
Derrick Rose has quickly found success in New York alongside promising rookie Immanuel Quickley. If they can continue to be productive and improve their chemistry this duo is gonna be quite scary coming off the bench. RJ Barrett has played quite poorly these past three games but if he can turn it around the Knicks can be quite solid as they have accumulated some nice pieces. The Knicks lost Robinson in their last game which will hamper this team moving forward and now Nerlens Noel will have to fill the void.
The Rockets are not themselves without Christian Wood and with the other injuries, it's hard to see them putting together a cohesive unit on the floor. The Knicks have been playing surprisingly well this season while the Rockets have been major disappointments, of course, it's not all their fault but as it is right now this team can't be trusted. Wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks breeze through the Rockets.
