Warriors vs Lakers

WARRIORS VS LAKERS

  • Preview

The Golden State Warriors are taking on the Los Angeles Lakers. The Golden State Warriors are 19-15 and are coming off a three-game win streak against Charlotte, Indiana, and New York. The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off of a convincing win against the Portland Trail Blazers but overall, the Lakers have struggled without Anthony Davis going 2-5 in their last seven.

The Golden State Warriors have the 8th highest scoring average with 114.7 points in large part to Stephen Curry who's scoring 30 points a game. Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr have filled in nicely with Wiggins scoring 17.5 and Kelly Oubre Jr scoring 15.5.

Schroder's return proved valuable as the Lakers were able to glide past the Trail Blazers, but the Trail Blazers were without some of their best players not named Damian Lillard. The Trail Blazers were without C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic in their loss to the Lakers. Lebron James hasn't been able to replace the production of Anthony Davis as his production remains largely unaltered, in fact, it's been slightly worse without Davis. The Lakers scoring has taken a huge hit as they are only averaging 103.4 points in their last seven as opposed to their season average of 111.2 points a game.

The Warriors were the winners of their last meeting this season where the Warriors won 115-113. The Warriors have been playing good basketball while the Lakers only win in their last five games came against an injured Portland team. Lebron has been playing worse without Davis, so theirs no need to think he can elevate the team past Golden State by himself in a regular session game.
