Detroit Pistons vs Chicago Bulls

  • Preview

The Detroit Pistons are taking on the Chicago Bulls. The Detroit Pistons fell to the Chicago Bulls in their season opener 94-88 to put the Chicago Bulls at 2-0 on the season after also taking out the Memphis Grizzles. Rookie Cade Cunningham missed the season opener with an ankle injury and is being listed as day-to-day.

Both of these teams improved this offseason and the Chicago Bulls are still the better team with an experienced core of players who intend to challenge for a playoff spot and should be one of the more interesting teams this year with all of their new additions. The Detroit Pistons are a young squad with rising talent and while their talent wasn't reflected in their record, they played very hard with a lot of the players showing their potential. Detroit is on the up and while I don't believe they'll make the play in let alone the playoffs this year, I expect them to compete on a nightly basis with Jerami Grant leading the way until Cunningham is ready to take the mantle. Chicago is going to win this matchup but a 9 point spread isn't justified with how hard Detroit plays.
