Celtics vs Kings

  • Preview

The Boston Celtics are taking on the Sacramento Kings. The Boston Celtics are coming off a victory over the Golden State Warriors to advance them to 11-8 after losing two narrow games prior. The Sacramento Kings have been on a tear as of late winning four of their last five games, putting them at 9-11.

The Celtics have been heavily dependent on the young duo of Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker, Tatum has picked up right where he left off with his return from COVID. Kemba, although healthy enough to play will be sitting this one out and with no Marcus Smart, it seems that everything is being placed on the young duo once more.

The Kings have been on a roll with their recent run with De'Aaron Fox averaging 22.1 points per game this season and 26 points per game in their last five games. De'Aaron Fox has been disgusting with back to back 30 point games leading the way in an impressive victory, and he'll have Harrison Barnes to defer to when needed.

With no Kemba Walker and Marcus Smart, the Kings have a good chance to keep this run going on with the Celtics struggling to put wins together. With the Celtic's dysfunctions right now it's hard to trust them against a team that has been red hot with De'Aaron Fox in the driving seat. Scoring shouldn't be too hard to come by but with the depth issues for Boston, they will likely lose in a game of attrition as they'll be without rookie Payton Pritchard.
