FanDuel offers one of the easiest start-to-finish registration and deposit experiences in the market, and it's hard to beat its $500 risk-free-bet offer for your first wager.
FanDuel has a good sign-up offer that requires only a 1x rollover, one of the better marks in the industry. While it doesn’t offer the volume of big promotions like some books, it does make an effort to give promotions to new and existing customers, which is uncommon currently.
FanDuel’s app is high-tech and easy to use, as they’ve been in the business of developing their products for over a decade thanks to their beginnings as a DFS company. The only major downside is that it can be difficult to contact support via the app.
We haven’t heard of major issues registering, depositing or withdrawing at FanDuel. They recently updated their organization so users can have just one wallet for the sportsbook, casino and DFS products, which is a big deal for customers.
FanDuel offers just about any market that’s legal within the state it operates in. There are a few niche markets like specific props that may not be offered, but overall FanDuel is among the best U.S. books in setting odds for nearly every sport and league.
FanDuel is already one of the biggest sportsbooks in the U.S., and it excels with its solid app and regular offers to help retain customers. While it can offer higher holds than some books, it’s fairly standard across the board, allowing users to find value on more niche markets.
It can often be tough to win long-term at sports betting, particularly because of the juice -- the “tax,” sometimes called the “vig” -- charged on each bet. That means it’s very important for bettors to take advantage of promotions, whether it’s a sign-up offer or daily booster, in order to maximize expected value.
FanDuel has a nice sign-up offer for new users: They’ll give you a risk-free bet up to $500.
How it works: If you sign up for an account at FanDuel and deposit at least $10, you’re eligible for your first bet to be without risk up to $500. The first bet made on your bet slip with the new account is what will count towards this offer. If it wins, nothing happens; you’ll receive your winnings in cash. If it loses, you’ll be credited in site credits for the amount of that bet up to $500.Note that this is a one-time offer on your first bet, so make sure to make it count! If your first bet is only $10, you’ll be credited just $10.
One positive about this offer is that any subsequent winnings on the risk-free bet -- if you lose the first bet, get credited and then win with those credits -- require only a 1x rollover. A rollover just means you have to wager the same amount as the credit in order for subsequent winnings to be converted to cash. If you have $500 in site credits from the risk-free bet, you’ll have to wager $500 in order to withdraw that to your bank account.
The 1x rollover may seem odd to someone new to the betting world, but it’s commonplace among all sportsbooks.

FanDuel has been perfecting its daily fantasy desktop site and app for a decade now, so it’s no surprise that they have one of the best sites and apps for sports betting now, too.
The desktop site is sleek and easy to navigate. On the homepage, users can easily find the sport they want to bet, along with live markets, odds boosts and notable promotions. Everything is housed in one screen, which means users don’t have to reload pages and have multiple tabs up at once. The bet slip experience is very user-friendly, as it pops up on the right side of the screen after clicking on a bet. It’s easy to change a bet from straight to a teaser, parlay or round robin as well.
Within sports, the navigation is also set up well; it’s very easy to find sub-markets like game and player props, head-to-head matchups and more. It could organize markets a little better -- FanDuel has separate tables for related markets like a golfer’s odds to finish in the top-five, top-10, top-20, etc. -- but that’s a minor quibble for an overall solid web and app product.
FanDuel has recently updated their organization so users can have just one single wallet for sports betting, daily fantasy and the casino. Instead of moving money around to take advantage of each product, users can deposit just once and use their money wherever they’d like seamlessly.

While it’s easy to locate a market like player props on the desktop site, it’s a little more challenging on the app, where you have to click into a specific game.
FanDuel’s daily fantasy sports product has a rewards program that gives back site credit to users for playing, but the sportsbook does not yet have any system.
FanDuel makes it difficult to get in touch with their support team. Clicking the “contact support” button in the app takes you out of the app and onto the mobile site. Once there, it’s challenging to find out how to contact them.
While sign-up offers, promos and user experience are all crucial factors in selecting a sportsbook, the most sophisticated bettors are often worried about the price. We can compare books in this regard a couple of ways:
Most online U.S. books -- in states where betting is entirely online and not regulated by the state lottery, at least -- have standard juice on your typical bets. Take, for example, the juice on spread bets for the NFL:
There’s no major difference between sportsbooks: It is commonplace to get -110 on both sides for both the spread and the over/under.
In terms of hold on moneylines, here’s how FanDuel has compared with other U.S. books in the past:
FanDuel is on the higher end of U.S. sportsbooks in hold percentage, and we’ve also found that they’re often beat in price in some futures markets like golf. It really depends on the specific market, though: For NBA title odds, for example, they offer superior odds than a bunch of the biggest U.S. books. That highlights the importance of line shopping and having multiple accounts; FanDuel is a worthy addition to your sportsbook portfolio.
In general, for some smaller markets like player props, FanDuel is competitive and offers standard pricing. Whereas a book like BetMGM can offer up to -118 on both sides for some props or head-to-head matchups, FanDuel is more in-line with DraftKings in offering -110 standard odds.

FOX Bet operates its mobile sportsbook in both New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the new state to the sports betting scene, Colorado. It is owned by the The Stars Group (TSG) in partnership with Fox Sports.
Follow this link.
You’ll be asked for information that is standard in creating sports betting accounts, including your name, email address, street address, a username and password, phone number and social security number.
FOX Bet offers a variety of options for customers looking to deposit money, but the number of options differs a bit depending on your state.
Simply follow the steps in the FOX Bet deposit menu and use your PayPal account.
Once again, this follows the fairly standard process of using credit or debit cards online. Be aware, though, that many banks will block online gaming transactions, so you may need to try multiple cards, or reach out to your bank to attempt to resolve that issue if it arises.
FOX Bet accepts MasterCard and Visa, both of which are also available for Fast Deposits.
This option allows you to deposit directly through your bank account, without entering any credit card or other financial information. Simply find “Instant eChecks” in the cashier or deposit menu (found in the Real Money tab on the mobile app) on your desktop client, app or web interface, and follow the instructions from there.
Like a normal check, eChecks do not transfer funds from your bank right away. You will see the amount of your check reflected in your playable balance, but you will not be able to transfer the money elsewhere or withdraw until the eCheck funds are actually received (which could take up to seven days).
If the eCheck funds are denied for whatever reason by your bank, you may face restrictions in the future regarding the use of eChecks.
Fast Deposits — more on those below — are also available through eChecks.
Skrill is essentially an electronic wallet that you can store with funds in your local currency, and it’s often an easier method of transferring money for online purchases, or in this case, to fund your FOX Bet account.
Once again, you’ll find the option to deposit using Skrill in the cashier or deposit menu, depending on which interface you’re using.
Skrill is also available to use for Fast Deposits.
For those in or around New Jersey looking to deposit money non-electronically, you always have the option of stopping by the Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City. There, you can head to the cashier cage and make your deposit in person.
The Resorts Casino is located at 1133 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, NJ, 08401.
If you’re looking to add money to your account using cash without visiting a casino, the Pay with Cash option gives you that ability.
Simply click the PayNearMe option in your cashier or deposit menu, and register your account. You’ll follow steps that will lead to the creation of a PaySlip that you can bring to a 7-Eleven (along with your cash) in New Jersey, Pennsylvania or Colorado, and the clerk will be able to add your cash amount to your balance by scanning the slip.
The PaySlip can be used multiple times, as it will be personalized to only your Stars Account.
VanillaDirect is another cash option that involves bringing a requested barcode to a participating location.
Simply request the VanillaDirect barcode in your deposit menu, and have it scanned at one of over 50,000 retail locations nationwide, then you’ll be able to add funds to your account by paying cash, and you’ll see your account reflect the payment within minutes.
Similar to an eCheck, the Stars Transfer avoids the use of credit/debit cards by linking up to your online banking account for a safe, fast deposit.
The PokerStars Play+ Card is a prepaid card that is synced to your Stars Account, making for easy deposits and withdrawals.
You can sign up for the card in the same menu you’d use to deposit funds in any other way, and once registered you’ll be able to deposit the same way.
As it sounds, Fast Deposit is an option that allows for players to make deposits quickly — more specifically, without leaving their current game.
As you are playing a game, you may see the Fast Deposit icon pop up, meaning you have the option of instantly adding funds to your account without leaving the game.
Instant eChecks, Skrill, and credit/debit card payments are accepted for Fast Deposits.
Yes. FOX Bet has a one-time deposit match option for both new and existing customers.
The book will match 50% of your chosen deposit up to a $500 bonus, meaning a $1,000 deposit could result in a bonus of $500.
Beware, though, that the bonus payment will come in increments of $10 for every $250 wagered, meaning you’ll have to play through $250 several times in order to see your full bonus (depending on the amount you wagered).
It should also be noted that bets more heavily favored than -200 will not count toward your promo wager amount.
There is no code required. Simply follow this link to their promotions page.
Yes! Perhaps the most attractive promotion on FOX Bet is the $500 risk-free bet for first-time users. Whether your bet wins or loses, FOX Bet will match your bet (up to $500) in bonus money.
To take advantage of the offer:
To request a withdrawal, you’ll need to visit the “Cashier” menu, select “Withdraw” and enter your requested amount. The next screen will provide details on how your withdrawal will be processed.
As far as your withdrawal options, they are similar to your deposit options, with a few limitations depending on your state.
In New Jersey, you can withdraw through Skrill, Instant eChecks, PayPal, VanillaDirect, your PokerStars Play+ Card, or at the Resorts Casino Cage.
In Pennsylvania, your withdrawal options are Skrill, PayPal and Instant eChecks.
And in Colorado, you can choose between PayPal and Instant eChecks.
The various methods of withdrawal have differing timeframes when it comes to actually receiving money. The processing time may also differ depending on whether your withdrawal method is the same as your deposit method was, and whether your withdrawal amount is higher than your deposit was.
Instant eChecks are processed immediately (or within an hour for higher withdrawal amounts), and you should expect to see the funds on your statement within 3-10 business days.
Skrill and PayPal withdrawals are similarly processed immediately, with slightly longer (up to an hour) delays for larger withdrawals. Once processed, though, these funds will appear to you in a few minutes.
PokerStarsPay withdrawals get sent for processing within 24 hours except on weekends. From that point it may take 3-4 business days to appear in your account.
Withdrawals made at the Resorts Casino cage may take up to two hours to process, and you’ll be notified via email when your funds are ready.
There are no fees for registering or having an account.
FOX Bet does not charge deposit fees for using credit/debit cards or Skrill, either, but all card and Skrill users should check for any fees that may come from their side.
You must be at least 21 years old to bet legally in the United States.
FOX Bet offers a wide variety of sports, including …
Football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, golf, tennis, UFC, eSports, darts, motor sports, table tennis, Aussie Rules football, rugby, and more.
Yes, FOX Bet does offer live betting, and even offers in-game odds on some smaller-market sports like table tennis.
To access all of the live betting options, find the “In-Game” button (usually to the right of the “Home” button across the top banner), and you’ll be presented with every current game available to live bet.
FOX Bet also offers a live “cash-out” option, allowing bettors the live opportunity to take a calculated portion of their winnings on a bet that’s currently taking place.
This can be useful for bettors looking to guarantee a profit on a winning bet they think still has a chance to lose, or limit their losses on one that looks like a sure loss.
FOX Bet offers a unique option for bettors to create their own proposition bets by using the hashtag #CustomBet on Twitter. From there, FOX Bet will decide if the prop is fair and may place the bet on their site.
There is no refer-a-friend bonus offer at FOX Bet.
FOX Bet offers users three platforms from which to choose: a downloadable desktop client, a mobile app, and the web interface.
Yes. Both the iOS and Andriod apps are free, and allow anyone to create an account and sample games from anywhere.
For those wishing to play for real money, however, you’ll need deposit money into your account, and be in New Jersey or Pennsylvania with your location services turned on.
No, not really. But FOX Bet’s cash-out option allows you to take your wager off the table before the event has started or is complete. The amount you’ll receive will depend on the odds of your bet as well as the current state of the given game or event.
What’s the difference between FOX Bet and Bovada?
The major difference — and the one that should matter to you — is legality.
FOX Bet is legal, and backed by a government body.
Bovada, on the other hand, is an offshore book, which means it’s not backed by any sort of government body. In other words, your funds are never truly safe, and in a scenario in which they decided to defraud you or refuse a withdrawal, you’d have no real course of action.
Other benefits to using FOX Bet as opposed to illegal sportsbooks:
1. You can more easily deposit, since your options include anything from bank accounts, online payment accounts, credit/debit cards, and even cash.
2. First-time players can end up with total bonuses of up to $1,000.
3. You’ll get your money much more quickly when withdrawing.
As they sound, Bet Boosts offer you increased odds on various events each day, giving you the chance to win more money than you would at any other book. FOX Bet also provides boosts to bets given by FOX Sports personalities, including Colin Cowherd, Clay Travis and many more.
Super Boosts are the biggest bet boosts of the week, and offer even more of an advantage to you as a bettor.
By tweeting using the hashtag #CustomBet, you can find your proposition bet on the FOX Bet site for you to bet!
You can contact FOX Bet through its help center on the web, desktop software or mobile app. You’ll be provided with a template to send a message, which will include specifying your reason for contact.
It is recommended that you be logged into your account (if you have one) when reaching out.
